Enjoy Okinawa’s Ocean
with Confidence

At Okinawa Aquamarine, we offer support

that suits each guest.

Okinawa Aquamarine offers snorkeling and diving tours in Chibishi, part of the Kerama Islands, about a 20–30-minute boat ride from Naha.

The waters around Kamiyama, Kuefu, and Nagannu islands are known for their exceptional clarity. Here, you can enjoy colorful fish, coral, and the chance to see sea turtles.

“It’s been a while since I was last in the ocean.”
“I’m not a confident swimmer.”
“I’ve never tried scuba diving.”

If any of these sound familiar, we’re here to help. We adapt our guidance to your experience, fitness, and the day’s sea conditions so you can feel more comfortable in the water.

From first-time guests and families to older guests and groups, we put safety first while helping you enjoy your Okinawa trip.

What Matters to Us

Safety Comes First

Snorkeling and diving take place in a natural environment.

Weather and sea conditions change daily. Suitable conditions also depend on each guest’s age, experience, and health.

At Okinawa Aquamarine, we put your safety and comfort first, even when that means changing plans or deciding not to run a tour.

We provide thorough briefings, check how you’re feeling before departure, and explain the basics before you enter the water. We choose suitable sites based on the day’s conditions.

Clear Guidance for Beginners

If you’re new to snorkeling or diving, it’s natural to wonder:

“Will I be able to breathe comfortably?”
“What if the water is too deep to stand in?”
“Will I be able to keep up?”

Many first-time guests have these concerns.

Before you enter the ocean, we explain how to use the equipment, breathe, and move through the water.

Once you’re in the water, we take things gradually and check how you’re doing before moving into deeper areas.

We also support guests who aren’t confident swimmers and families joining with young children.

From Naha to Kerama

Okinawa Aquamarine’s boat tours depart from Naha.

The waters around the Kerama Islands offer clear snorkeling and diving sites with coral reefs and plenty of tropical fish.

We check the day’s sea conditions and choose sites with the best available conditions.

Our years of experience help us choose where to go, including sea turtle sites our team has found through exploring the area.

A Chance to See Sea Turtles

Swimming with a sea turtle is something many visitors hope to experience in Okinawa.

Along with well-known sites, Okinawa Aquamarine visits sea turtle spots our team has found over the years.

Sea turtles are wild animals, so sightings can’t be guaranteed. However, we see them frequently, and many of our guests have enjoyed watching them in the water.

We hope a sea turtle encounter becomes one of your favorite memories of Okinawa.

Tours for Families, Friends, and Groups

Our boat has a capacity of 31 people, but we generally use it for around 20 guests to provide more space on board. We welcome families, couples, and friends, as well as clubs and groups on company trips.

For groups with many beginners, we check each guest’s experience and swimming ability and adapt our guidance accordingly.

Private charters are also available for snorkeling groups of 15–25 people and Fun Diving groups of 10–18 people.

A private charter is a good option if you’d like to enjoy Okinawa’s ocean with a boat reserved just for your group.

Supporting Older Guests

We don’t turn older guests away based on age alone. We consider their current health, medical history, and fitness when deciding whether they can participate safely.

Guests ages 60 and over must provide a medical certificate as part of our safety checks.

We aim to provide the support older guests need to continue enjoying Okinawa’s ocean.

For detailed participation requirements, please see Information for Guests Ages 60+.

Our Approach to Safety

Our regular safety practices include:

  • Checking weather and sea conditions before departure
  • Reviewing guests’ health and medical history before the tour
  • Providing clear briefings for beginners
  • Using safety equipment, including life jackets and wetsuits with high buoyancy
  • Choosing sites that suit guests’ experience and fitness
  • Deciding not to depart or run a tour when conditions are unsuitable
  • Sharing safety information and checking procedures among staff

Bringing you safely back to port matters just as much to us as helping you enjoy the ocean.

Following Okinawa’s Marine Safety Standards

As a marine activity operator in Okinawa, we maintain safety procedures, equipment, and staffing arrangements in line with the Okinawa Prefectural Public Safety Commission’s standards.

Our diving instruction and tours follow PADI standards.

Along with these standards and qualifications, we focus on everyday safety practices, such as assessing sea conditions and checking in with guests throughout the tour.

Make Memories in the Blue Waters of Kerama

When thinking about diving or snorkeling, you may wonder:

“Isn’t it mainly for experienced swimmers?”
“Would it be too difficult if I can’t swim?”

These are common questions.

With suitable conditions and the right support, first-time guests can also enjoy Okinawa’s ocean with help from our staff.

We give experienced guests more independence where appropriate and beginners more step-by-step guidance.

Our job is to help each guest find a comfortable way to enjoy the water.

Swimming in the blue waters of Kerama.
Watching a sea turtle pass right in front of you.
Trying snorkeling together as a family for the first time.

We hope these experiences become some of the moments you remember most from your Okinawa trip.

Whether it’s your first time or you’re returning to the ocean after a long break, please feel free to contact us.
We look forward to welcoming you to Okinawa’s ocean.
