Guided dives in clear blue water

Join Okinawa Aquamarine for guided scuba dives around Chibishi, in the Kerama area. We depart from Naha aboard our own boat.

We mainly visit sites around Kamiyama, Kuef, and Nagannu islands, choosing where to dive based on the day’s sea conditions.

Expect clear water, colorful coral, and tropical fish—the underwater scenery that brings divers to Okinawa.

Newly certified divers, divers with only a few logged dives, and those returning after a break are welcome. We’ll check your experience and skills and guide you at a comfortable pace.

When you’re not scuba diving, you can also enjoy snorkeling if sea conditions allow and you’re feeling well.

See Kerama and Chibishi from both below the surface and above the reef.

Diving with Okinawa Aquamarine

1. Dive Sites Chosen for the Day’s Conditions

We check wind direction, waves, and currents before choosing sites suited to the day’s conditions.

Our dives focus on sites with coral and tropical fish, giving you a chance to see what Kerama and Chibishi have to offer that day.

Safety comes first. We can’t guarantee a particular site or take you somewhere conditions aren’t suitable.

2. New and Returning Divers Welcome

Just earned your certification? Only logged a few dives? Feeling a little nervous after time away from diving? You’re welcome here.

We’ll review equipment use and descent procedures with you. Let us know before your trip if there’s anything you’re unsure about.

We’ll take your experience, skills, and how you’re feeling that day into account to help you enjoy a dive that’s within your comfort and ability.

3. A Short Boat Ride from Naha

We depart from Naha aboard our own boat, FRONTIER.

The ride to Chibishi takes about 20–30 minutes, so even a half-day trip gives you time to dive in the Kerama area.

The boat has a restroom and a shaded area where you can rest during the ride and between dives.

4. Snorkeling Between Dives

When you’re not scuba diving, you can snorkel with guidance from our staff if conditions allow and you’re feeling well.

See the reef from the surface and look for coral and tropical fish from a different angle.

If you’re tired, you’re welcome to stay aboard and rest.

Newly Certified or Haven’t Dived in a While?

“This will be my first dive after certification.”
“It’s been a while, and I’ve forgotten how some of the equipment works.”
“I’m not confident about equalizing my ears or descending.”

If any of these sound familiar, tell us how many dives you’ve logged and when you last dived when you book.

On the day, we’ll review equipment use and the safety basics, then guide you at a pace that suits you.

Please let our staff know about any concerns or skills you find difficult.

Health and Medical Requirements

These trips are for certified scuba divers ages 10 and up.

When you book and on the day of your trip, we’ll ask about your health, medical history, and any medications you take.

Depending on your current health, medications, or medical history, you may need a doctor’s clearance to dive.

Okinawa Aquamarine requires all guests ages 60 and over to provide a medical certificate confirming fitness to dive.

If you’re unsure whether you can participate, contact us on LINE before booking.

Flying After Diving

You’ll need to leave time between your final dive and your flight.

Nitrogen remaining in your body after diving, combined with the lower cabin pressure during a flight, can increase the risk of decompression sickness. Please don’t schedule diving on the day you fly home.

General guidance recommends waiting at least 12 hours after a single no-decompression dive, or at least 18 hours after multiple dives in one day, before flying.

Leave plenty of time in your travel schedule.

Let’s Go Diving

Even at the same site, there’s something different to see on every dive in Kerama.
I always enjoy sharing those moments with our guests, whether we’re watching the fish or taking a closer look at the coral.

If you haven’t dived in a while or are still building experience, tell us what’s on your mind. We’re happy to talk it through.

Let us know what marine life you’re hoping to see and what you enjoy most about diving.
